Black Wooden Hand Carved Nibble Bowl
Regular price £24.00Inspired by our love for nibbles and belief that each piece we bring into our homes should be thoughtfully integrated, we have designed this bowl with joy and purpose. It is the the perfect size for olives and nuts, but equally perfect as a pinch pot or for dips. The little handles are a unique feature and makes passing it around easier.
Your purchase supports job creation and helps to keep the tradition of wood carving in the Makonde tribe alive.
Nibble Bowl Details:
- Dimensions: (d) 8cm x (w) 2.5cm handle x (h) 3-3.5cm
- Material: African Blackwood ( Please note although the wood is called African Blackwood, it can sometimes have beautiful light grains and sections running through it. We love the two tone look and hope you do too.)
- Care: Hand wash gently in lukewarm water and dry immediately. Do not put in the dishwasher or leave soaking in liquids. Use food safe mineral oil when required to retain the natural finish of the wood.
Nibble Bowl Story:
Hand carved by Daniel, one of QASA QASA talented wood carvers in southern Tanzania, each bowl takes a day to make. Daniel uses a free hand technique that allows him to have more control over the shape and achieve the beautifully tactile finish.
Each piece has its own unique wood grain and showcases the raw natural beauty of African Blackwood. QASA QASA work directly with our group of Makonde wood carvers who are renowned for their craftsmanship, a skill passed down for generations from father to son.

Our lighting is a little more complex to ship, therefore the shipping price is higher at a rate from £5.95. The price will vary slightly depending on the size of the light.
If you're purchasing ARCFORM lighting, this is custom made to order, therefore takes 4-5 weeks to create for you.
Please note our lighting is not stocked and some lights vary on timelines. We will always do out best to reflect that in the listings, but it is not always possible to update stocks as accurate as we'd like due to high demands. We'd advise that you contact us if your lighting us urgent so we can advise an accurate shipping date.
Packaging Info:We believe in doing our little bit, for the planet where possible, in every aspect of our business. We like to reuse packaging or recycle it from what we receive from our suppliers. We choose to wrap your item(s) in reused plastic if you see any &/or paper. We also use eco dissolvable peanuts as filler, these bad boys, dissolve in water, leaving no trace of them. So if you have any of these in your packaging, simply pop them in your sink or bath, run water over them and they will dissolve. Simply magic!
We also encourage you to reuse our boxes or packaging you receive, where possible. In the words of some brilliant marketeers, every little helps!

Hand Woven Grass Serving Tray
Regular price £68.00An earthy toned statement tray carefully woven by hand by one of WomenCraft’s 600 women artisans in Tanzania. Perfect for serving up breakfast in bed or displaying fruits and vegetables, adding textures and warmth to your kitchen or dining room.
Each tray takes 10 days to weave using locally grown ugwafu grasses, together with white threads of upcycled 'gunia' grain sacks and the dried bark of local banana trees.
The combination of modern design and traditional weaving techniques, makes the trays versatile and sturdy while reinforcing the natural beauty of local materials. They are also ideal as a serving tray or to keep belongings in a decorative way. They would also look lovely with some plants grouped together.
QASA QASA's artisan partner WomenCraft's mission is to support women refugees to become entrepreneurs by using natural materials that grow around them to create income and business skills for independence.

On faster services, we always send it tracked, so you can track it directly to your door. We'll send you your tracking number once your order has been processed.
Please note: If you order after 3pm on Friday or over the weekend, your parcel will not be sent out until Monday, so please factor in the extra time.

International delivery rates will be calculated at checkout. They may seem higher than other companies, but that is because we will only send international parcels on insured, quicker & signed for services to ensure it arrives in tact and tracked. Please note that if you're looking to send your parcel overseas, you are responsible for any custom taxes or costs, upon entry of the parcel into your chosen country.

Lighting:
Our lighting is a little more complex to ship, therefore the shipping price is higher at a rate from £5.95. The price will vary slightly depending on the size of the light.
If you're purchasing ARCFORM lighting, this is custom made to order, therefore takes 4-5 weeks to create for you.
Please note our lighting is not stocked and some lights vary on timelines. We will always do out best to reflect that in the listings, but it is not always possible to update stocks as accurate as we'd like due to high demands. We'd advise that you contact us if your lighting us urgent so we can advise an accurate shipping date.
Packaging Info:We believe in doing our little bit, for the planet where possible, in every aspect of our business. We like to reuse packaging or recycle it from what we receive from our suppliers. We choose to wrap your item(s) in reused plastic if you see any &/or paper. We also use eco dissolvable peanuts as filler, these bad boys, dissolve in water, leaving no trace of them. So if you have any of these in your packaging, simply pop them in your sink or bath, run water over them and they will dissolve. Simply magic!
We also encourage you to reuse our boxes or packaging you receive, where possible. In the words of some brilliant marketeers, every little helps!
We're not perfect and won't always get it right, but we think trying is half the battle, but we do know your parcels will be safely packed and shipped to you in the very best way possible.

Returns Mantra:
Before returning your item(s) to us, please get in contact with our team, via email beforehand, just so we know to expect it, please email: hello@hibehome.co.uk
We offer a 30 day return policy, so if your purchase is within 30 days of your purchase date, you can send to us, hassle free and once we receive it back to us here at Hibe, in tact, in the condition it was sent out, we will process your refund, which can take up to 5 working days, this is due to different banks having different processing times! Typical. If your purchase is out of your purchase date, ping over an email anyway to: hello@hibehome.co.uk and we will see what we can do for you.
Returns do need to be returned at your own cost, but once received, we will refund your original purchase, excluding shipping. Sadly as a small business we can't refund your returned shipping cost. Eventually we hope, with your support, to offer paid returns, but only until we get bigger we are afraid....

Refunds Mantra:
Not a damaged item:
If you're returning an item, that is not damaged, please contact us first, via email, as we may be able to offer an alternative solution you never know! Then send it back to the returns address above, once our returns team receive it back, in the condition it was sent out in, we will process your refund as quickly as possible. Sadly we can't refund you back the cost of the return, unless it was damaged. Once it arrives into our returns team, refunds can take up to 5 working days to land back into your bank account, this is due to different bank processing times. We promise it will be done as soon as humanly possible our end.
Received a damaged item:
In the rare event you have received your item(s) damaged, please email a picture to us first, along with your order number & name, this is so we have evidence for our suppliers or couriers, if we have it still in stock we will send out a replacement, no questions asked, as some of our products are handmade, and stocks are low, we sadly may not be able to replace it for you, so we will refund you in full instead! Again refunds can take up to 5 days to process, this is due to different banks having different processing times. We will always process our end as soon as possible for you.
Replacements:
If stocks allow, we will offer you a replacement, whether you've made the wrong choice or received a damaged item (which is extremely rare, because we're demon packers!) Just get in touch, to start the conversation to a solution that suits you.
